Dear Farming people
I need your knowledge. Let me feast upon your brains... or just post here..either works. About 6 weeks ago i had my main account hacked. Might have been a virus, spyware, aliens or whatever but i still got hacked. They took everything (some people on here got their knickers in a twist when i said they even stole my rank emote) and deleted all my characters. 3 years of gaming gone just like that.
I recently aquired another account that has all campaigns and EoTN.
I turned the assassin into an ecto farmer but i want to make another farming char on my main account just in case the dude ever wants his account back.
Taking into consideration the following
- time to get to 20 plus get getting relevant skills
- money spent on buying runes, armour, weapons etc
- level of difficulty of farming
- rewards from farming
- speed of farming (i'd rather do 10 quick small runs than 2 long ones)
What character would i be best in starting and what should i farm?
thank you please

Wow, sorry to hear about your account. As for farming...I think the ecto sin you already have setup will be the fastest way to earn money for yourself, and if I was you, I would abuse the heck out of it until it gets nerfed. other than that, you could try making a monk and do some 55ing and 600/smite runs in CoF/UW. If you made it in factions, it wouldn't take that long to level up, and once you're level 10 you can get access to Eotn. Once there, you get ogden (can be used as smiter if you 600) straight away and CoF is only an hour or so away. With the money from drops, the quest reward and your paying customers, you'd be back on your feet fairly soon :P Good luck!

Create a sin, run to UW, and farm^^

Read the post, he already has a Sin.
600/Smite is my advice.

Assassins and Elementalists seem to be the big farmers these days. I don't think you mentioned it, so I'm assuming you have all campaigns + expansion on your old account as well.
Farming ecto might work for now, even though some people claim it will be nerfed soon. Raptor farming seems like a safe bet.

sin= ecto farm
ele= everything farm
until sin gets nerfed bore yourself silly with UW, after that go farming elite tomes with ele, easy way to make 100k a day without too much effort

Ele is the most versatile farming class. can solo almost anything and can substitute a 600 Monk if wanting to duo with a Smiter/SS.
Rit is also a good choice, VwK Rt/Me or Rt/Mo are good choices, Rt/W also works.
if you want a different kind of farming than Warrior and Ranger are also good. physical farming is different than caster farming so if you get bored with 1 type of farm easily you could try 1 of those out.

yeah i have everything on my main account.
I think i'll go with a monk then. And when i get bored i'll make an ele.
So it's best to make it in Factions then?
The account i sue has a monk and ele but like i said before i don't want to equip them for farming for him to change his mind.

Just a few of the farms I enjoy.
Long farms:
Solo Chaos Plains with A/E // A/Me, 20-25 minutes (NM)
Dual Great Battlefield with 600/Smite, 20-25 minutes (HM)
Dual Ice Wastes with 55/SS // PermSin/SS, 20-25 minutes (NM), 25-30 minutes (HM)
Dual Ice Wastes with 600/Smite, 25-30 minutes (HM)
Solo undead outside Bergen Hot Springs + vanquish Cursed Lands with 55, 20 minutes (HM)
Short farms:
Solo undead outside Bergen Hot Springs with 55, 7 minutes (HM)
Boss farm Cobble Poundstone and Flint Touchstone outside Sardelac Sanitarium with 55 SV, 3-5 minutes (HM)
Dual Gates of Kryta with 600/Smite, ??? minutes [I don't do it but I know it's quick and easy] (HM)
As you can see, these all involve either a sin or a monk. Leveling a sin is faster but the gear is more expensive. Leveling a monk is slower (unless you go Factions/NF, but then you don't get pre-Searing armor for 600ing) but the gear is less costly (especially in the case of 600ing since your pre-Searing armor is perfect for it). I'd say for now, if you can dual instance GW or anything, farm up some cash on the account you're using now (between 50-100k should do) and then transfer it to your actual account, then start leveling. My sin paid for itself in 2 UW runs.

Make a perma-SF sin on your main account and abuse Chaos Plains. It's as simple as that.
